Bringing together a unique collection of paintings, ceramics and drawings, the collection of the National Museum of Fernand Leger allows everyone to discover this major artist from his vanguard influences to his major cubist colorful compositions of the fifties. His shaped contrasts and vibrant colors translate the rhythm of the machine, the poetry of the objects and the beauty of the modern city.
After months of work of renovation, the Picasso museum of Antibes reopened on the 20th of July. The restoration project aimed to preserve the identity of the place, while changing the premises. The new layout now follows this way : on the ground floor, reception of visitors and display of the Hartung-Bergman donation ; On the first floor, temporary exhibitions ; On the second floor, Picasso's work, around the painter's studio area...
The Terra Amata Museum of Human Paleontology is located on the east side of the Port of Nice, on the archeological site where sundry findings have been excavated in the late 1950s, substantiating the hypothesis according to which the region where Nice is located at present used to be inhabited even 400,000 years ago. The permanent collection of the museum consists precisely of these archeological findings: such as tools, hearths, bones of the hunted animals...
La Tour Museum showcases the history and regional traditions of this part of the French Riviera. You will find many forms of art from paintings to costumes and more. There also are tools and photos on display along with other object that discuss local history. The museum is located in a tower that was built in the middle ages.
The Fort Carre overlooks the lovely Port Vauban. It gives people good insight into local history. Fort Carre is actually set on an old site occupied by the Romans. It is a historic monument. You can take a guided tour here and see views of old town. Tours are offered in English and depart on a regular basis.
The Napoleonic Museum at Batterie du Graillon shows many different forms of art from the time of Napoleon. These include paintings and sculptures plus more from that era. There are many famous exhibits here like a bust of Bonaparte from 1810. From the museum you also can see great views of Cap d’Antibes and much more.
The Museum of Archaeology at Bastion Saint Andre is located on an old fortification created by Vauban in the late 1600s. Here you will see many discoveries from many periods to get a good view on local history. Exhibits include many ancient objects like money, urns and ceramics.
This is a noted sight that many enjoy visiting in Saint-Raphael, France. Church Masses are no longer held here, but it's free to view. This spot is open to the public. Several noted churches have stood on this site over the many years.
Juan-les-Pins is the town which welcomed the first European Jazz Festival in 1960, and this was no coincidence. Nearly 42 years earlier, as soon as the phenomenon began, jazz arrived here as if by miracle. This is where the worldwide myth of the “Jazz Age” and Enfants du Jazz came into being.

Vallauris Golfe-Juan centre international de création compte prés de 70 ateliers et une trentaine de galeries et boutiques dédiées à artisanat et à l’art. Au-delà de la poterie et de la céramique, la commune labélisée Ville et Métiers d’Art offre une grande diversité en matière d’artisanat d’art : sculpture, peinture, cristallerie etc.. Comment rester insensible devant tant de savoir-faire et de beauté ? Car d’ateliers en boutiques, le talent de des artisans s’expose…
Musées
Le Château de Vallauris, ancien prieuré de l'Abbaye de Lérins, reconstruit au XVIe siècle est l'un des rares édifices Renaissance de la région. Il abrite le Musée National Picasso, La Guerre et la Paix, le Musée Magnelli et le Musée de la Céramique. 4 activités thématiques sont proposées : atelier linogravure - Atelier colombin - Atelier pastel et Atelier ardoise.

MUSÉE DE LA CERAMIQUE KITSCH - VALLAURIS
Depuis le 3 juillet 2008, un "musée de la céramique kitsch" a ouvert ses portes dans le centre ancien de Vallauris. L'exposition fait partie intégrante de la collection d'un particulier : Gil Camatte qui, pendant plus de 30 ans, a rassemblé avec passion plusieurs milliers de pièces vendues aux estivants dans les années 60 à 80. Ce lieu permet de découvrir ou de retrouver plus d'un millier d'objets modestes d'art populaire, qui témoignent familièrement de l'histoire de la céramique de Vallauris.

MUSÉE MAGNELLI - MUSEE DE LA CERAMIQUE - VALLAURIS
Le Château-Musée de Vallauris (du XVIème siècle) possède deux orientations : la céramique et Magnelli. La collection de peintures de Magnelli, pionnier de l'art abstrait, est la plus importante de France et a été constituée par l'artiste lui-même, de son vivant.

MUSÉE NATIONAL PABLO PICASSO, LA GUERRE ET LA PAIX - VALLAURIS
Situé dans l'enceinte du château-musée de Vallauris (avec le Musée Municipal Magnelli, musée de la céramique), le Musée National Pablo Picasso, La Guerre et la Paix occupe l'espace de la chapelle romane. En 1952, Picasso y a exécuté 2 compositions monumentales en vis-à-vis, sur des panneaux qui épousent la forme de la voûte. La Guerre, montée sur un char antique, déploie son cortège de malheurs. La Paix associe le figure du funambule, à celle d'une famille qui jouit du bonheur de l'été.

LA STATUE DE L'HOMME AU MOUTON DE PICASSO SUR LA PLACE ISNARD
Pour remercier la ville et les vallauriens de leur accueil, Picasso leur offre et 1959 cette statue en bronze, qu’il fait installer sur la place du marché typiquement provençale avec ses grands platanes centenaires.
ESPACE JEAN MARAIS
L’ancienne galerie d’art de Jean Marais a été transformée en un espace consacré à l’artiste, compagnon de Jean Cocteau. Sont exposés plus d’une centaine de pièces : poteries, lithographies, dessins, tableaux, photos qui retracent et illustrent la brillante carrière de cet homme aux multiples talents.
